The appraisal is a detailed, personal, career fact-finding exercise which allows us to highlight your strengths and weakness.
So How does it Work?
In order to determine where you might realistically achieve in the marketplace, it is first essential to examine your skills, abilities and past work experience. This information along with knowledge of your aspirations for the future, financial requirements and your personality type makes it possible to target the area where you are most likely to achieve in the course of a job search.
The First Session:
The appraisal process comprises of a detailed fact finding discussion, over several hours, where every aspect of your career is examined in great detail. We talk to you about your life, from early days to the jobs you held, how you got on in them and your progress up to the present date. Every area relating to your career history and your aspirations for the future are examined. A Psychometric Test is then submitted the results of which are examined at the next meeting.
This Appraisal or first step is a most important exercise for anyone embarking on a job search.
The Second Session:
Following a few days later, the results of your Career Appraisal are discussed with you. We introduce to you our findings and the results of the Psychometric Test are presented and through discussion and an assessment is made of all the practical career possibilities, together with our ideas on remuneration, likely career progression, level of seniority and future employment or self employment prospects.
A third meeting, if necessary, will be held a few days later will re-affirm the decisions made.
This process of identification is not a dictate from us but a thorough discussion, with you, where we eliminate unworkable ideas and identify what is your most likely area of success. In essence, the ultimate goal is to have agreement on the area or areas of the marketplace where you will be percieved to be a realistic candidate for a position offered.
Subsequent to this decision made, and knowing the direction to be pursued, we can then discuss further training or educational possibilities if necessary.
If, at this point PCC feel they cannot be of any further assistance to you, we will say so.
However, if we are confident we can assist you further we will be happy to work with you further in pursuing a new position with increased remuneration and enhanced prospects. We can also provide assistance in setting up in a self employed capacity. We have the expertise and resources to help in every way possible.
